Firm plans recruitment drive for 2012

Following in the footsteps of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), professional services firm KPMG is to launch a recruitment drive next year. Both KPMG and PwC have pledged to hire new staff in efforts to grow and prosper despite the challenging economic environment.

According to the report on the KPMG website, the financial services company is to double its school leaver intake in 2012. The first year’s intake of students have now joined the firm and will study for an accountancy degree at either Durham or Exeter Universities.

School leavers will be able to benefit from a company salary as well as a higher education degree, while the UK finance industry will be strengthened with an influx of skilled and educated workers.
